Because all the cool kids are doing it.

It's suddenly hit me that there's only a week left til Armageddon, and I'm feeling a mite panicky. I spent the Thursday night before we flew up to Gencon frantically running around shoving things into suitcases; I suspect that the Armageddon version may have me spending Thursday night frantically shoving things into suitcases in between trying to finish my god damn costumes! All three of them... *sigh*

I spent tonight being fitted by the talented Pheonuh for the waistcoat I'm adding to my Joker suit. I'm doing a much more classic Joker at 'Geddon: suit, tie... four inch heeled bright purple ankle boots. Still gotta throw a little bit of gender-fuck into the costume, even if my costume's a version of the character much less likely to attract the puzzled stares my Bianca costume did. Pheonuh's brilliant, and I can't wait to see the finished product next week.

My other day time costume... Catwoman. DCAU variety. Yes, I've swallowed the fear, and I'm going to be a plus-sized lady in spandex. I'm a wee bit terrified. My costume's a little on the cheap and dodgy side (~Rhodri is currently trying to follow my vague instructions to fix the ears... when hexy gets a hobby, everyone around gets involved!) but it IS a Catwoman costume. The accessories and the attitude make the costume, and I have at least one of those.

The one that's causing me stress is my Adam Hughes Babes of DC Poison Ivy. The white dress? Not here yet. In transit. Threatening to not be here on time. The rest of the costume? Not really able to be put together without the dress.

Send me quick postage vibes, people. I needs them.

It's been a hellish couple of weeks in hexy-land, and I'm looking forward to getting away for the weekend with some good friends and some costumes for some campy, nerdy fun. Well, I will be. When my bloody dress gets here. *chews fingernails*
